Rajamouli’s Amaravathi connection rubbished?

Rajamouli created sensation with his dream project Baahubali The Beginning. The film mesmerised all with extravagant sets, stunning visuals. He became the most sought after the film’s sensation at international level.

Sometime back rumours spread that AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu who promised to come with world class capital at Amaravathi in Andhra Pradesh, roped in Rajamouli after he was mesmerised by Rajamouli’s Mahismati kingdom in Baahubali.

It came out that Chandra Babu appointed Rajamouli as the advisor to the London based architect Nrman Foster, who designed England’s Supreme Court, Apple’s second campus in California and Masdar City in Abu Dhabi.

Recently informal discussion happened between Rajamouli and APCRDA commissioner Dr.Cherukuri Sreedhar in the presence f Dr.P.Narayana minister for Urban Development. Many are wondering whether Rajamouli who created Mahismati Kingdom with graphics can recreate the same for Amaravathi.

In the meanwhile Rajamouli’s dad K.Vijayendra Prasad rubbished all the reports saying ” It was too unreal to be true”. He even rubbished the above said meeting between the ministers and officials of AP.

He questioned ” How can a film director design a city? At the most he may be asked for inputs as a thinking mind and an influential figure in Andhra. It doesn’t mean that he is qualified t design a whole city”. He even pointed out that ” Amaravathi is not a film set and even if architects want the city to resemble Mahismathi, it is not the director they would approach but the art director”

He added “He might have been contacted as one of the many influential figures in Andhra. I guess that being a film director, it makes practical sense to put his name in news reports on Amaravathi”
