Baahubali: First Look Stills or Cartoon Stills?

On Oct 22, 2016, Rajamouli unveiled the much-awaited look of Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas) from Baahubali: The Conclusion. With a chain wrapped around one arm and holding a sleek black double-edged sword in his other arm, Prabhas set against thunderous background opened to mixed talk.

Drawing comparisons with the Shivudu’s (Mahendra Baahubali) first look in Baahubali: The Beginning where he’s seen holding a Shivling on his shoulders, many have expressed their angst on the first look of the second instalment publicly in social platforms.

Even before Rajamouli & his team come to terms with it, here comes a rude shock as Bhallaladeva’s (Rana) look in the sequel – released today on the eve of Rana’s B’day – receiving all the flak. Sharp criticism poured in from Twitterati, netizens on Rana’s look from the second chapter of Baahubali.

People started trolling Rajamouli with remarks such as ‘Cartoon stills’, ‘Video-game pictures’, ‘Rana’s yellow-colored iron-man suit’ and few even stated it as a “fan-made” poster whereas others went onto lament the poor effects.

Criticism came in heavily on Baahubali 2 posters from around the web forcing the makers to fall in self-defense. Probably, people were expecting far better looks of Prabhas and Rana in Baahubali 2, and definitely the mediocre looks released by Rajamouli seems to have not gone down well with fans.

Looks like, it’s a warning bell for Rajamouli & Baahubali team.
